Bookazines are a combination of books and magazines – with niche subject matter and the permanence of books. The goals of the bookazine is to include aspects of a magazine with more focus on: curated imagery/illustrations, well-designed layouts, editorial excellence, and high quality print production. Introducing Apropos, the bookazine focused on bringing to light cultural appropriation through a global lens as well as addressing the challenges and solutions associated with this idea. Although this topic is controversial we strive to address cultural appropriation sensitively from an international perspective in hopes of helping to spread often misrepresented voices. To begin our deep dive into the world we have decided the steer our view to the country of Mexico.
